Four-star guard Andrew Nembhard just verbally committed to Florida, according to his UPlay coach Dwayne Washington.

"He felt it was the best style of play for his game, excellent people, promising program and the oppourtunity to start and get major minutes," Washington told Scout.

The Canada native also considered and took official visits to Gonzaga, USC and Ohio State. Nembhard took his official to Florida this past weekend.

"He built a strong relationship with the coaching staff and its a decision made with mind and heart," Washington added.

The Montverde (Fla.) Academy standout is ranked as the No. 8 point guard and the No. 29 overall prospect in the 2018 recruiting class.

Nembhard is the first commitment in Florida's 2018 class.
