"I've been talking to UAB and Bama lately," Hall said before last week's Mr. and Miss Basketball awards banquet in Montgomery. "Bama's still up there on top, but I'm liking UAB too, so it's about the same."
The 6-foot-8, 180-pounder is rated as a four-star prospect and the No. 3 player in Alabama for the 2015 class by ESPN. He also holds offers from Mississippi State and Troy and is receiving interest from Auburn, Georgia and West Virginia.
The Tide, however contacts Hall nearly ever day.
"They text and call, and UAB's about the same," he said. "I met with them some time last week. They'll be better because they played with a couple freshman last year. Bama still should be strong."
Hall has led his squad to the Final 48 in each of the last two seasons, but the Tigers have yet to claim the Class 2A title.
Hall averaged 11.7 points, 10.1 rebounds and 6.7 blocks per game for the Luverne (24-2) last season, which ended with a state championship loss to rival Elba.
"We had a pretty good season," he said. "We worked hard to get to where we wanted to go. if we had worked a little harder it might have been better but we had a pretty good season overall."
"We'll have to come back with another set, but we'll still have a strong nucleus."
