Virginia received a men's basketball commitment Thursday from 6-foot-10, 195-pound Sacha Killeya-Jones, a junior at Virginia Episcopal School in Lynchburg.

Killeya-Jones, who is from Chapel Hill, N.C., transferred to VES this year after spending the 2012-13 season at Woodberry Forest School northeast of Charlottesville.

According to rivals.com, Killeya-Jones also had offers from Wake Forest, Virginia Tech and Notre Dame from the ACC. Virginia Commonwealth was among the 13 schools on Killeya-Jones' offer list.

He is the third player to commit to UVa for the 2016-2017 season, joining guards Ty Jerome from New Rochelle, N.Y., and Kyle Guy from Indianapolis.

Killeya-Jones' coach at VES is Curtis Staples, a former UVa player from Roanoke who once held the Division I record for career 3-point field goals.

Doug Doughty is in his 44th year at the Roanoke Times, having produced an estimated 10,000 by-lines, a majority of them on University of Virginia athletics.
