ASU men's basketball coach Bobby Hurley landed a second commitment from the 2019 class, this one from 6-foot-2 shooting guard Alonzo Verge.

Verge is a product of Villa Park (Ill.) Thornton Township High School. He is currently playing at Moberly Area Community College in Missouri.

Verge earned second team NJCAA All-American honors last year, averaging 20.8 points, 6.1 assists and 4.1 rebounds in 25 games while shooting 55.8-percent from the field. He finished 32-percent from the 3-point line, making 24 of 75 3-point attempts.

Verge helped the Greyhounds to a 26-5 record and No. 11 national ranking. Among his other highlights was a 51-point performance in a win over Highland CC.

Verge is the second commitment for the Sun Devils for the class of 2019. The first was 6-1 point guard Jaelen House out of Shadow Mountain High School who committed in December.
