Naz Reid has been a big deal since he came on the scene as a freshman at Roselle Catholic. So chances are he'll be a big deal when he gets to Louisiana State University.
Reid, a 6-foot-10 forward from the class of 2018, announced on his Twitter page that he had committed to the Tigers on Tuesday over Arizona, the only other school remaining on his list that featured dozens and dozens of scholarship offers before he cut it to two. He averaged 13.8 points and 3.1 rebounds per game last season. A consensus five-star recruit, he's ranked 18th in the class of 2018 by ESPN.
Part of the elite Sports U AAU program that included Arizona commit Jahvon Quinerly as well as elite recruits Louis King and Luther Muhammad before the team split up this summer, Reid has been heavily recruited since he arrived as a freshman and helped lead Roselle Catholic to the Tournament of Champions title alongside Isaiah Briscoe. While local teams recruited hard, LSU emerged as a heavy favorite over the summer.
