Kansas forward Andrew Wiggins is finally going to put on a Sixers jersey -- well, at least for one afternoon.
According to Chad Ford of ESPN, Wiggins will be working out for the Sixers by "next weekend." This is the first reported workout between the Sixers and any of the top three prospects -- Wiggins, Duke forward Jabari Parker, and Kansas center Joel Embiid.
Although the chances of Wiggins falling to the Sixers at No. 3 seem to be increasing, the outcome of this workout could be the difference between the team hoping he does fall, or trading up to make sure they get him.
At 6-foot-8, 200 pounds, Wiggins is considered one of the best prospects in years. Although he had an up-and-down season at Kansas, Wiggins still averaged 17.1 points, 5.9 rebounds and 1.5 assists during his freshman year.
Wiggins is not the most polished of the prospects in the draft, but nearly every scout seems to agree he has the highest ceiling. With a 44-inch vertical, Wiggins would likely step into the NBA and already be one of the most athletic players in the league.
Now, it looks like the Sixers front office is going to get a chance to see that athleticism up close. The question is -- will it be for the last time?
