Kansas freshman Andrew Wiggins is as talented as any player in the upcoming NBA draft.
CLEVELAND, Ohio -- Kansas freshman forward Andrew Wiggins will work out for the Cavaliers next Wednesday and Duke freshman forward Jabari Parker will do the same on Friday, an NBA source told The Plain Dealer on Friday.
Those two, along with Kansas freshman center Joel Embiid, who visited this week, are considered the top three players in the June 26 NBA Draft. There have been conflicting reports about how Embiid's much-discussed back checked out. Some reports indicate there were problems, others that it checked out fine. Neither could be confirmed. The Cavs have not commented.
The Cavs, who will have the No. 1 pick for the third time in four seasons, have yet to replace head coach Mike Brown, fired on May 12. Former Maccabi Tel Aviv coach David Blatt will interview next week, he said at a Thursday press conference in Israel.
Los Angeles Clippers associate head coach Alvin Gentry and assistant Tyronn Lue had second interviews on Friday, though it is unclear if either is a front-runner for the position.
